Epson PowerLite LCD Projector, $999.95, 0.00% raised
Epson PowerLite LCD Projector Rank:
Single Unit Why I need this:
If I aquire a smartboard, then I would also need a projector to connect the smartboard to the internet. This is a necessary item if I am to filter information from the internet to the smartboard. If we'd had this item with the smartboard, we would've been able to watch the inauguration on it as it was channelled into our school through the internet instead of having my students crowd around 4 classroom computers.

Class Information:
Room Number: 24
Students per Class: 29
Class Description:
I have 24 students with varying needs and different styles of learning. Our classroom has old furniture with old splintered chairs that snag the childrens clothing. My class are a happy bunch, and are open to learning in a variety of ways.
Position:
teacher
Needs:
I try to make my classroom print rich to mask that we lack and update to our technology as well as missing technology. We don't have a TV with VCR/DVD to watch some of their Reading/Science tapes. I often have to borrow from another teacher just to give the kids some variety. They really work hard and deserve some upgrades to the room.
My Philosophy:
I believe that all children can learn, and that a happy child is a successful child. I engage my students in the learning activities that I plan, even without the technology. We do have computers in the classroom with limited connectivity. I will continue to borrow the technology from others, so that my students continue feeling successful. I believe in keeping my students as happy, motivated learners.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
I love to teach. I love to see their growth during the year. Usually, the students return to visit with a "remember when" story associated with a lesson they remember. For me, teaching is rewarding especially when I see students succeed after a long struggle.
