I teach 6th grade science, which is an overview of physical, chemical, geological, and biological sciences.

Needs:
We have a set of laptops for student use. However, the computer cart for their storage is horrible. The computers just stack inside. The doors don't even lock anymore! A computer dropped out when the cart was being moved and cracked the screen!
My Philosophy:
I believe that every child can learn...especiallygiven hands-on and technology-based inquiry activities. Students should be excited about learning, in order to become life-long learners.

About Me:
I have been a teacher for 15 years. I have taught 1st grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and 6th, 7th and 8th grade science. I enjoy learning new things, especially about science and technology.
College and Degrees:
I have a bachelor's in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas, and a Master's in Technology in the Classroom from Grand Canyon University in Pheonix, Arizona.
Activities:
I enjoy anything science! I love to camp and hike in my spare time. I also love to travel. My favorite activity is to play darts!
Employment History:
I have been with the Olathe School District for 11 years. Prior to that, I was in Kansas City Kansas School District. Prior to that, I worked for Sprint.

I love teaching students about science and technology...theyget so excited about learning new things!
