Class Description:
My studio in art class services Regulare education, special education and bilingual students in grades 6 through 12. I like to have the students keep a record of their projects to full fill part of the International Baccalaureate philospohy we follow as a school. A digital picture can be worth a thousand words to the students who struggle academically. It serves a a means of recall and as an explanation of planning.

Needs:
We need several digital cameras, memory cards and photopaper to explore our photography interest center in which we do fun activiites likd interviewing a local photographer, photographing an environment within a 3 mile radius of our school, finding a photo that "speaks" to us and writing a poem about what we "hear". We also can create tools for our ELL friends by creating a digital direction list for projects or every day tasks.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because i love the way children can take a piece of information and have the courage and creativity to explore new ways of resolving the problem at hand, i love the energy and excitement they have when going through the process to reach the solution, I also love the way they beam with pride when they have completed a piece that they are proud of.
