My Philosophy:
I teach my students that learning is not only important but can be fun too. I use technology to show and enhance their education. I try to use real world examples as often as I can to so that the students can understand how their education can be used and why it is important.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I am a native Californian and have lived here all of my life. I grew up in the SF Bay Area and went to high school at Kennedy HS in Richmond, CA.
College and Degrees:
I have a BS in Business Administration from California State University Hayward
I also have my teaching credential and Master's Degree from University of Phoenix.
Activities:
Most of my free time is spent playing Sports with my dogs. Currently we are active in Agility and we are getting pretty good at it.
Favorite Books:
I like anything that is adventure, but especially spy novels, particularly ones that the students would read.
Interests:
I enjoy anything with dogs. I also enjoy baseball, the Oakland A's, and NASCAR.
Employment History:
I have had a varied work history. I had the distinction of being the youngest, and only male bridal consultant for a major retailer, on the West Coast. (A job I inherited when my sister got promoted). I have also had many different retail management jobs. But my most exciting non-teaching job was being a auto claims investigator.
Why Do I Teach?:
I enjoy the everyday interaction with the kids. It truly is a job where you can see immediate results as well as long term results. Everyday is a different challenge, plus it is a great feeling knowing that you make a difference in young lives.
