Students first learn the history of animation by creating their very own Thaumatrope, flip book and story board. Then students learn how to create an imaginary character using clay. They organize ideas into a sequential plan to design an animation. Working with digital video and cameras, students learn to compose space in a lens and zooming in for close-up views of their subjects. Students use the programs, Frames, Photo Story, and Movie Maker.
