Hampshire Unit School
Hometown:
Hohenwald
Class Information:
Room Number: Art Building
Students per Class: 82% of grades K-12
Class Description:
My classes are with grades K-8 for 1 hour per week and daily high school classes for an hour and thiry-six minutes per day. We do both 2-D and 3-D projects covering all manner of art styles and mediums. The classes usually work with the same materials but on different levels of difficulty. We try to provide art history as we start each project. My students seem to enjoy art and it is my priviledge to work with each of them.
Position:
Art Teacher
Needs:
We have need for any technical supplies or equipment, such as cameras, a camcorder, and educational software that deals with art. I have none of these things and do not have art funds that will allow me to purchase such expensive items.
My Philosophy:
I want my students to know everything I can teach them about art, it's history, the materials and mediums used, and how to use them. I want them to feel secure in their own work and comfortable with their knowledge about art when they leave my classroom. I hope that each child will take pride in their work.
