I have been the instructional technology resource teacher at Sinclair for a year, but have taught for 10 years in three states. I have a Master's of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, which I attained strictly from an online program. I would like to obtain another Master's degree in Educational Administration and hope to do so within the next two years. My bachelor of arts degree is in English with an emphasis in literature.

Besides searching the Internet for lesson plans and the latest educational technology resources, my favorite activities are singing in my church choir, and covering sports events as a freelance sports writer for a local newspaper in my area. I am also becoming a fan of our two local teams here in Northern Virginia, the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals. I should say I have covered sports for various newspapers for the past 21 years.
Favorite Books:
Besides the Bible, my favorite books are Native Son and Uncle Tom's Cabin as I have a particular interest in the Civil Rights/Segregationera of US History.
Favorite Quotes:

"Lovethe Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength."
Interests:
As mentioned above, I enjoy technology/computers,singing, writing, and watching sports, especially baseball. I also enjoy exercising, watching movies, and seeing new places/traveling.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because investing in people is my passion. Helping 21st century teachers and students to be successful is at the core of my mission and passion. I enjoy seeing people's excitement at discovering and learning new concepts and skills. Teaching is new and different every day and makes a lasting difference in the lives of many. I can think of few jobs where you can make such as impact on others as teaching. When you think about it, almost every vocation available would not be possible were it not for a teacher imparting some of her or his knowledge to another. That is the very essence of what keeps me coming back to teach, what drives me to learn and improve my skills continually, and what movtivates me to continue to shape the lives of others, academically and technologically, every day.
