Language Arts - a course that focuses on enhancing the literacy skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and visually representing) of all students. Students are encouraged to use these skills on an everyday basis for genuine purposes.

My Philosophy:
I believe that it is vital to engage students in the learning process. Teenagers like to experiment with new technology. As a junior high teacher, it is important for me to tap into this interest and incorporate technology into my lessons and classroom activites. Students learn and retain knowledge by doing!

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I want to help young adults make their transistion to adults. At this time in their lives, students need adults who will not only share knowledge with them but will also encourage them to take on responsibilities for themselves.
