Class Description:
I am the distance learning coordinator for Ben Franklin School. I work in each classroom, 1st through 8th grade, helping the teachers to integrate the video conferencing into their curriculum. The students become more active learners as they engage in relevant conversations with content experts and collaborate with other classrooms on a global scale.
Needs:
My school is in need of flip video cameras and document cameras.
My Philosophy:
I believe that children need to become more active in their learning experiences and use the current technology and tools available to them to make their experiences relevant. Our students need to be given the opportunity to participate in global conversations in order to appreciate other cultures for their similarities and differences to our American society.
