Woodbridge High School
Class Information:
Students per Class: 90+
Class Description:
We have an award-winning vocal music department at Woodbridge High School in Irvine, CA. Our students are committed to excellence and to singing a wide-range of musical styles including traditional choral music, contemporary, pop, standards, gospel, musical theatre, and show choir. In addition to 3 vocal groups, I also teach clases in AP (Advanced Placement) Music Theory and ROP (Regional Occupational Program) Music Technology. Because of cuts to the performing arts programs in California, we rely on the generosity of our patrons to help maintain the high quality of our productions.
Position:
Director of Vocal Music
Needs:
Audio and video recording and playback
My Philosophy:
My goal is to instill a sense of music appreciation, encouraging the student to develop a lifelong love of music, while at the same time teaching the students about the technical aspects of music education. Furthermore, I strive to expand students interests by organizing field trips, integrating multicultural lessons, and incorporating a wide range of activities, manipulatives, and cooperative learning projects. By utilizing these effective methods I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts, foster a fun learning environment, and help students blossom into well-rounded individuals.
