I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Minor in English. I am currently a PACE candidate in SC.
Favorite Books:
I love books aimed at middle schoolers! My favorite book this summer was "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.

Employment History:
I have worked in communications in the non-profit sector for 10 years. I took time off to have my two girls. I went back to school to obtain my teaching certification.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I truly want to make a difference in a young person's life! Middle school is a difficult time for most children, especially those from low income households. I want to help each child reach his/her potential by offering unique lesson plans tailored to individual needs. I am honored to be a teacher!
