15 boys, of whom, 6 are very easily distracted and need reminders every few minutes to keep working and stay focused. I have three students on IEP for two or more learning areas, one student with Asperger's and one student who reads three or four levels below grade level expectations.
I also have 8 girls who are for the most part good, attentive students who try hard to do well in class.
Two Iraqi boys, four Asian students and one Ukrainian boy. The remaining 16 students are Caucasian Americans of varying learning abilities.
Position:
teacher
Needs:
ADHD, Asperger's, impulsive behaviors, and low IQ
My Philosophy:
I must know my students if I am to really reach them and teach them. I believe it is the responsibility of elementary school, and therefore my responsibility to help students gain confidence in his/her abilities to learn, create, interact with others and make good decisions.
