Class Description:
I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to two groups of "Highly Capable" sixth graders. These students are motivated learners, they're doers, often thinking outside the box.
Position:
Teacher - Highly Capable Program
Needs:
I would like my students to have the opportunity to communicate visually through the use of video. I can take video on my cell phone, but I'd like them to be able to use real video cameras. I plan on using video to help the students tell stories, make reports, and offer arguments.
My Philosophy:
Kids (and grown-ups) learn by doing. My job is to find ways to help them explore and share their understanding.
