I am a special education teacher and teach students with diverse learning needs and a variety of disabilities. My largest class has 12 students with disabilities and all of these students need individualized support in order to be successful in school.
Position:
Special Education Teacher
Needs:
New technology! We have a laptop cart in our classroom, but the laptops are so old and slow that it is really counterproductiveto plan on incorporating them into lessons. With new, reliable technology I can teach my students digital literacy and skills they need to be functional members of society when they leave my classroom (and high school) and move on to life in the real world!
My Philosophy:
My priority is to have students IN the classroom, and engaged in learning. I want to make learning fun. I want my students to find something they are interested in and passionate about and get them excited about learning.
