About Me:
I graduated in 1988 with a BS in Animal Science/PreVeterinaryMedicine from the University of New Hampshire. I spent a year as an Animal Technician for Ciba Geigy in Farmington before changing my career path to counseling. I then worked 7 years as the Assistant Director and Community Educator for the YWCA Sexual Assault Crisis Service in New Britain, and 3 years as the Director of the Women's Center at the University of Hartford. My love for teaching grew at each of these positions. When I was hired by St. Brigid School in 2002, I was accepted at and successfully completed the Connecticut Alternate Route to Teacher Certification Program in the fields of Biology and Chemistry for middle and high school students. For the past 20 years I have worked as a Domestic Violence Counselor for the Non-Violence Alliance in Middletown, providing psycho-educationalcounseling to court-ordered domestic violence and sex offenders. I love my job and I thank you for the privilege to teach your children.
