Class Description:
I have a class of 15 energetic, inquisitive learners. Our class has beautiful diversity, representing families from Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, and the United States. They keep me smiling and amazed each day!
Position:
Lead Teacher
Needs:
A flip camera would allow me the opportunity to bring books to life! Our class this year loves books and especially loves fairy tales. With a flip camera, it would be possible to perform our own fairy tales and film them for friends, students, and families to see. In addition, as part of a class for my Master's degree in Literacy, a flip camera would allow me a deeper and more effective way of reflecting on my own teaching and on student learning as tape my own lessons. I am looking forward to both of these insightful opportunities!
My Philosophy:
Students learn best when learning is relevant, hands-one, and student centered. A flip camera would allow students to integrate reading, writing, and the arts with technology. It also can be the catalyst for many activities that are student led, where students can develop a strong sense of ownership in their learning.

Why Do I Teach?:
I love the energy and creativity of children. It is a gift to spend 6 hours with children each day and truly get to know and appreciate them for who they are.
