Class Description:
In my position, I am not only a coach, mentor, director of professional development, and an interventionist, I am also a resource for the teachers. If they need something I will do everything I can to help them get it!

Student Performance Strategist
Needs:
I have been working to obtain financial support for iPads in our 1st grade classrooms. We have 5 first grades and are in need of 5 iPads per classroom. With the appropriate technology we will be able to implement multiple programs that meet our students' individual needs. In addition, I have a fourth grade teacher who is working on obtaining stability balls for her classroom of 20+ students. Anything I can do to help, I will.
My Philosophy:
You need to build an understanding of each individual, students, as well as, teacher; where their needs are and how to go about meeting them.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I grew up in a small rural community on a pig farm, with my 5 siblings. Today I am married to a wonderful business analyst and we have three children, ages 4, 9, and 11.
College and Degrees:
I have a Masters in Education for the College of St. Kate's out of Minneapolis, MN. My bachelors was obtained from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Activities:
I enjoy pinning on pinterest and trying things out! On my own time I enjoy woodworking, crafting, sewing, reading, and researching. With my family I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking and biking.
Favorite Books:
My all time favorite book is "Charlotte's Web". I am also very fond of Owl moon. In regards to adult literature I am a Nora Roberts fan.

Interests:
I am always interested in learning new things.
Employment History:
I have had many positions within education. From special ed paraprofessional to teaching in the classroom for many years, K-5. Currently, I am a student performance strategist.
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching is an ever-changing occupational experience. I am the type of teacher who is ready to try new and innovative ideas. I want the best for all children and in teaching I can be there to support the children and the teachers so that they can recieve the best.
