This year I am teaching all seniors, both college prep and honors. II am teaching level IV of Spanish. Ours is the oldest existing public single sex school (all girls) in the United States

Needs:
I could use a laptop and an LCD projector for my room. I would also love to have computers for my students (at least a few of them) so that they could communicate with students in other countries in Spanish.
My Philosophy:
I believe that all students should become global citizens but they have to be exposed to the opportunity to understand that we are all the same while we celebrate our differences.

About Me:
I have been teaching for over 30 years and am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of my students.
College and Degrees:
I have a BA in Latin American Studies from the American University in Washington, DC and a masters in education in curriculum and instruction from Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD.
Activities:
I am involved in many professional activities and also mentor and work with new Spanish teachers in our system who have changed careers in order to become teachers. I also love to travel and would love to travel with my students!

Employment History:
I have been employed in Baltimore City since 1982. Before that, I taught in New York City schools and before that I taught in private schools. In Baltimore, I have taught at Dunbar High School, Baltimore City College High School (City) and I'm currently teaching at Western High School.
Why Do I Teach?:
I want to make a difference in the lives of my students, to expose them to other cultures and other ideas and to broaden their horizons.
