Class Description:
My class is a diverse, hard working group of fourth graders living in upstate New York. We are a Title One school, which means that we are a "high needs" population. My students are working toward becoming better writers.
Position:

Needs:
My students must become literary experts, able to communicate effectively as writers in order to succeed! Becoming a well rounded "literate person" is essential and now more than ever, with texting and e-mailing becoming the norm, students need to work on their ability to be creative and informative writers who excel at the craft of writing, old fashioned style...with well formulated and structured writing pieces. Help us study the masters and hone our craft.

About Me:
I am a wife, mother of two beautiful daughters, and a teacher.
College and Degrees:
I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in History from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. I also earned my Master's Degree in Reading at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York.
Employment History:
I began my Educational career as a teacher with the City School District of Albany at Arbor Hill Elementary School and worked there for 7 years as a classroom teacher, then a reading specialist. I am currently teaching at Roessleville Elementary School in Albany, New York. This is my 5th year teaching there.
Why Do I Teach?:
I want to inspire my students to explore their talents and to become lifelong learners.
