I teach Art and 4-H/Life Skills at Detroit Day School for the Deaf. I also work on research, grants and collaborative partnerships for the school.
Position:
Art/Life Skills Teacher
Needs:
Due to the current economic situation in Michigan, Detroit is even more challenged than usual in bringing current technology to our underserved population of deaf and hard of hearing students. Technology has been a part of the art program since 1991 when we received our first (Mac Classic!) through a grant. Times may be tough but our students creativity
is encouraged in every way possible. We need cameras, memory cards, software, computers, papers, etc.
