West View Elementary
Class Information:
Room Number: Computer Lab 12
Students per Class: 936
Class Description:
Students attend my class on a weekly rotation. All the students in the school are instructed by me in the use of technology to conduct research, effectively communicate through various forms, and create multimedia projects or reports. I enhance the learning at my school by allowing students to explore science and social studies topics being discussed in their other classrooms. Students must read from various texts, listen to podcasts, or watch video clips about curriculum concepts. Then, they are instructed on using related information to create their own podcasts, multimedia projects, reports, or videos.
Position:
Technology Teacher
Needs:
We need webcameras to improve our video creations. Also, we need digital cameras to allow students to capture observations during science experiments and interactions with animal habitats, which will allow them to improve their forum posts and digital journals.
My Philosophy:
Students learn best by creating projects or communicating through email, forums, and journaling about things they are learning and discovering. Students need to be able to share, apply, and evaluate the things they and classmates are learning.
