St Peter's Boys High School
Class Information:
Room Number: Computer Room
Students per Class: 200
Class Description:
I teach multiple classes each with their own scope and vision. My Freshman Computer Literacy class is an overview of the history of computers, hardware basics, network set-up and MS Office applications. MySenior MultiMedia Design class is a project based course that focuses on how the student can manipulate digital media and present it in a logical and creative way. Tools used include PowerPoint, Photoshop, and FrontPage. My Senior Computer Programming class teaches students to program in a formal language (C++). In this course we also include NXT Robots to show the student how to apply their programming knowledge to solve specific tasks.
Position:
Director of Technology
Needs:
As the popularity of our senior classes increases, so do my ideas! I would like to include digital photography and videography in the Media course. As for the programming course - the more NXT robots - the more experience each student can have.
My Philosophy:
I love my job! My students drive me to learn new technology. Since I prefer learning using the hands on approach, I carry that to my classroom by trying to include as many projects as possible to instill a concept or idea.

Favorite Quotes:
“Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss “Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.” - Dr. Seuss
Why Do I Teach?:
I love a challenge. I also enjoy seeing a student's face when they finally "get it!"
