Needs:
In the technology department, we would love to have six cordless head microphones! We are working on becoming confident and effective communicators through oral and written expression. The cordless head microphones would help us with drama, story retells, reporting and other activities focusing on oral language.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is to build a solid literacy foundation using the skills and talents that my students already have and taking them as high as they can go. I approach this through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Oral language is a fundamental component for effective and competent communication, especially reading, so vital in our global 21st technological century.

I am a kindergarten teacher of 17 years who is passionate about getting kids started with a solid foudation for learning. My goal for each student is to have be successful in learning and have friends.
College and Degrees:
I have an A.A. from Tallahassee Community College, a B.A. from Southeastern Bible College, an M.A. in Reading and Language Arts from Florida State University, and a Special Ed. Endorsement from Seattle pacific University.
Activities:
I love attending basketball games, volleyball games, and track meets, especially the ones my children are involved in. I also love traveling, cooking and gardening.
