Class Description:
I teach kindergarten. Most of the children are five and six year olds. Almost all we do in kindergarten is active, hands-on learning.
Position:
Kindergarten Teacher
Needs:
We are a brand new elemntary school. We are taking over a middle school building but we have no new technology yet. I am in need of PC's for my classroom. I would like the kindergarten children to have access to the internet and all the tools available to reinforce what we are learning in the classroom.
My Philosophy:
I believe in hands on learning, especially for my young kindergarten students. I am honored to be the first school experience in their lives and I think it is important that I make them excited about learning. I want them to develop a desire to discover and learn on their own, because if they are excited about learning, the possibilities are endless!

About Me:
I am married and have two boys ages 9 and 6. I love animals and love to read. I enjoy working in the garden/yard and adore swimming!
College and Degrees:
Buffalo State College, Buffalo N.Y. I have a B.S. in elementary school, December 1991.
Favorite Books:
My favorite children's authors are Eric Carle, Marcus Pfisterand Ezra Jack Keates. My favorite author for my own enjoyment is Tracie Peterson.
Interests:
Animals, plants, books.
Employment History:
I have taught kindergarten or preschool in public Louisiana schools for 15 years. Most of my experience has been in Bossier Parish.
