Class Description:
I have a very diverse classroom both academically and culturally. 90% of my students are classified as poverty level, and come from single parent homes. They are very energetic and eager to learn.
Position:
4th grade teacher
Needs:
My class needs exposure to the world outside of their neighborhoods. I believe technology and media is one the best and efficent ways of doing this from inside a classroom.
My Philosophy:
An education is more than reading, writing and math. It is about being prepared for life: learning responsibility, problem solving skills, communication skills and so on. My job is not only to prepare my students for the next grade, but for life in general.
