I have English II for sophomores and I also teach a Holocaust and Other Genocides Class as well as a College Research class
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
Laptops with wireless internet capabilities or desktops
Personal Information:
About Me:
I'm young, willing, able-minded and able-bodied. I spend way too much time creating technology programs and resources for my students that they can't always use because they do not have access to computers.
College and Degrees:
BA English- University of Louisville
MAT- Bellarmine University
Activities:
I love to read, travel, and learn.
Favorite Books:
East of Eden is probably my all time favorite (as introduced to me by my favorite librarian). I also love Brave New World, The Bell Jar, Boy in Stripped Pajamas, Yellow Star, and many more...
Interests:
Anything and everything. I'll try anything once, well almost anything.
Employment History:
I'm a third year teacher at Bullitt East High School.
I was an instructional assistant for two years at Ten Broeck KMI.
I worked for the YMCA CEP program for too many years.
I was a teller at National City for an entire summer.
I was a sales associate for Lazarus (which changed its name to Macy's)
I worked for a dance company and fitted shoes and probably can still guess someones size for a point shoe or tap shoe by just looking.
Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love to learn. Teaching is the one job where you must continuously learn, reflect, adapt, and learn some more. Teaching makes me feel obligated and as long as I feel obligated to the students I adore, I will keep teaching forever, but maybe not as long as my mother, who is still teaching after 43 years and still refuses to retire.
