About Me:
This is my fifth year teaching: 3 years of 4th grade and 2 of 5th. Science and math are my favorite subjects to teach because there are so many ways to teach fun, engaging, hands-on lessons.
College and Degrees:
-Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in General Science from East Carolina University -Currentlyworking on a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Virginia Tech
Favorite Books:
Almost all of them :o) Old favorites: Anne of Green Gables (whole series); A Wrinkle in Time; A Little Princess New Favorites: Gregor the Overlander; Eat, Pray, and Love; The Penderwicks
Interests:
Reading, traveling, Children's Engineering, finding new fun ways to teach any subject

Why Do I Teach?:
I enjoy watching kids discovering new ideas and concepts and seeing how proud they are when they create or accomplish something. I love coming up with ways to teach concepts that the students really enjoy so that they look forward to learning each day.
