My students have named themselves the P.E.A.C.E. Team or the Protect Everyone And our Cool Earth Team. They have been working on an anti-idling campaign. They made a video to show how other schools can hold a campaign. We have joined with Utah Clean Cities and the State of Utah. They have placed this video on the following website. http://www.idlefree.utah.gov/The song that you will hear is from one of my students. Click on the volunteer button and see the video we made this year on Idle reduction training video produced by Morningside Elementary School. We want to take our campaign around the state. In order to do this we need more technology to organize our visits.

My Philosophy:
My philosophy about education is simply that students must be taught the important life skill of problem solving and then taking an active part in solving the issues. When students become involved in this process the learning becomes integrated and relevant, education become exciting. My students are activists and they become motivated when they see that they can make a difference in their world. I have set a standard for excellence and my students rise to the occasion. Preparing students to live in a world that is changing constantly requires innovation and technology. I teach using critical and creative thinking skills, and model important life skills to prepare my students for the 21st century.
