Class Description:
I teach a group of awesome students with learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and autism. I teach grades 2-5 and have 15 students and growing!!!
Position:
Special Education Teacher
Needs:
I teach grades 2 -5 in a self contained class for students with disabilities. My students need to be able to work independently during group rotation as I have three groups in my class. The ipad has wonderful apps that will help support the instructions I give to my students and will keep the students engaged in learning!!! I need 6 ipads to create a center for my students to work independently and access the wonderful reading and math apps available to use on the ipad!

I have a Bachelor's of Arts in Communication Disorders with an emphasis on speech,language, and hearing. I have a profesional clear teaching credential in mild/moderate disabilites and a Master of Arts in special education with an emphasis on mild/moderate disabilities.
Activities:
I enjoy reading especially research articles that help me assist my students. I like to go out to eat and shop!!!

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I enjoy working with students with special needs. I find it very rewarding when a student accomplish something that he/she was not able to do before. It is one of the most amazing things to see the face of a child light up because he/she has learned how to read!!!!!
