Class Description:
I teach first grade. I have 12 boys and 12 girls. I also have a student that is in the Alternative Learning Environment Classroom who is gradually making a transition into my classroom. I am Pathwised trained so I am a supervising teacher for interns from two nearby Universities. I currently have a student intern from Henderson State University.

About Me:
This is my ninth year to teach first grade and I enjoy my job. I can't wait to go to work each day. I love sharing new and exciting learning experiences with my students.
College and Degrees:
I graduated from National Park Community Collage with an Associates Degree. I received my Bachelor degree in teaching at Henderson State University. I am certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. I am also certified to teach Junior Social Studies.
Activities:
I like to excise. I do some of my best thinking when I'm running.
Favorite Books:
My favorite books are children's books. I enjoy reading them all.

I love to scrapbook and enjoy taking pictures and sharing them with my friends, family and students.

Why Do I Teach?:
My job is so rewarding. Every day is a new experience. It is fun to teach first graders they want to learn, they love to learn and they like their teacher. It is so exciting for me when they retain something I taught them and use their new knowledge in the classroom and the real world.
