Employment History:
I worked throughout high school as a lab technician's assistant in a busy doctor's office. In college I worked at a children's convalescent center and helped out in our church nursery. As an adult, I either volunteered or worked in school classrooms as an assistant for 15 years.... Finally after my own children were grown, I finished school and became a teacher. Although my degrees are in Special and General Education, I've taught music for the last 10 years and loved (almost) every minute of my 43 classes, 1,000 kids per week schedule.
Why Do I Teach?:
One of my greatest joys is watching a child be a child! I love to be witness to their creativity and excitement about learning. There is such magic in the moment of understanding. Getting to be a part of that learning empowers me to continue to create lessons that inspire and enrich my students' daily lives.
