Class Description:
My classes consist of students who range from academically gifted to special education, These are students who will enter a four year university, a two year technical school, join the military or even immediately begin in the workforce.
Position:
Digital Media Instructor
Needs:
Our needs include the opportunity to make these students ready for the 21st century. The skills learned in digital media can be applied at nearly any level of college, military or employment that a student may enter. In order to make these students competitive, necessary equipment needs to be addressed.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy has always been that students perform better when they feel better about themselves and the environment around them. When students are given new and exciting chances to advance, they will strive to be the best!

About Me:
I am a former television report in a medium size market. My background allows me the opportunity to share my talents, skills and knowledge with my students. My husband of 28 years is the Athletic Director at my school. Our daughter is a freshman who plays tennis, basketball and softball.
College and Degrees:
I am a 1986 graduate of East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, with a BS in Communications with a concentration in Broadcasting. My minor is in Geography.
Activities:
I am the Assistant Coach for both mens and womens tennis. I am a certified tennis teaching pro (USPTR certified).
Favorite Books:
Hey you have to love all Nicholas Sparks books . . . he's from eastern North Carolina!

Employment History:
I have only taught school for eight years. Prior to that I was affiliated with the broadcasting industry as a reporter and then as the Director of Creative Services.
Why Do I Teach?:
I absolutely love watching students work with video editing and graphic production. It is amazing how well they adjust to new ideas and tackle problems they may encounter! The pride and passion the students have for this subject will simply overwhelm anyone!
