The students needs include academics, behavioral, and social. I have learned that with these needs there is also self-advocacy, self-confidence, and success issues.
My Philosophy:
I believe that you need to teach the 'whole' child in order for them to take learning to heart. I don't want them to just learn the material, I want them to learn lifelong skills, the joy of learning, to have success, and how to advocate for themselves.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because it brings me joy. I love to see the spark in a student's eyes when they finally 'get' it after so much hard work. Teaching is always changing, always a challenge, and always rewarding.
