Class Description:
This class is a technology infusion class! We are headed in the STEAM direction, but need to start with the basics. I see all students from Pre-K to 5th Grade.
Position:
Tech Teacher
Needs:
We do not have the technology devices necessary for a successful integration of technology. We need at least one class set of laptops and IPads to get this program off the ground!
My Philosophy:
We understand that the world today is technologically based, and we want to keep up with the times for our professional use, but more importantly, to prepare all of our students for the real world. One of our goals is to make sure all of our students are digitally literate. In order to do this, we need the devices necessary to foster this endeavor. With just one class set of laptops and IPad tablets, we could change our students’ lives for the better via collaboration through technology. Our initiative is to access these different platforms and devices for unique projects including research based projects. As a GAFE (Google Apps for Education) school, our intention is to get our students on to specific apps, (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Classroom, and Hangouts to start), to collaborate and interact with experts in the field of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Through this interaction, students will be able to research, explore, and create infusing all academic areas. This won’t be possible without the proper resources- technology devices!

I teach because I love sharing my knowledge of anything and everything!
