Bluff Ridge Elementary School
Class Information:
Students per Class: 28
Class Description:
We are a classroom of learners. We are a classroom of readers and writers. We are a classroom of becoming confident in our math skills and we are a classroom of caring, understanding, supportive individuals who understand we're in this together and together we shall succeed!
Position:
Teacher
Needs:
We are in need of a SMART Board. Why? Because I feel that these students come to Earth now hard-wired. They learn different than their predecessors learn (parents) and the move quickly and with motivation when given the opportunity to use technology in their learning because it is in their everyday vocabulary and leisure time. Online, cyberworld, etched in compact yet streamlined tools our students reach beyond the stars and are becoming our skyline to our future!
My Philosophy:
I believe that students deserve to have the right to a kind and supportive environment with expectations that not only meet the common core, but a teacher that uses technology to meet their digital learning needs.
Personal Information:
About Me:
Teaching is not just my career. It is my passion! I teach because I truly believe in supporting students in their quest for learning. As they gain knowledge and learn we will see the results of many, who move on to become successful, productive citizens of our country. They are our future! They are our new Einsteins, but these Einsteins have an electronic tablet in their hand, along with their Smart Board pen. The knowledge they've included in their small enclosed, yet streamlined tools provide us with not only cures for Cancer, but have also brought us a new realization on our transportation and vehicle systems.
College and Degrees:
Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education ReadingMinor and Special Eduction Degree, along with an ESL Endorsement Mastersin Learning and Technology
Activities:
My Favorite Quote: There are One-Story intellects, two-story intellects, and three-story intellects with skylights. All fact collectors, who have no aim beyond their facts, are One-Story minds. Two-storyminds compare, reason, generalize using labors of the fact collectors as well as their own. Three -story minds idelize, imagine, predict-their best illumination comes from above... through the skylight! -OliverWendell Holmes
