Class Description:
Digital Video and Topper TV staff-These students learn components of digital cameras and camcorders, they learn about different formats, how to import, edit, and create movies, they learn to use the mixerboard and character generator. These students work for the community, the school, athletics, and teachers in our building (projects).

Needs:
We need cameras (Digital and camcorders), SD cards, DVD-R's, CD-R, CD-RW, tripods, and flash drives. We are in desparate need of a new mixerboard. Our students announce on TV over the entire school each morning.
My Philosophy:
My philosophy is the most effective way to learn a skill is to be taught through handson demonstration. I feel that a teacher's effectiveness is directly correlated to the tools he/she has at hand.

About Me:
I seek every opportunity to enhance my skills through workshops (even at my own expense). I truly love technology and I enjoy sharing it with my students. I will continue to learn as much about Technology as I possibly can. I teach in a rural, low economic geographic location. My students enjoy Digital Video. Many parents have requested that their child enroll in this class. I have taught in Mississippi Public schools for 22+ years.
College and Degrees:
My educational background includes a Master's degree in Vocational Education. I am also certified in Techonology Discovery, Computer Discovery, and Business & Technology
Activities:
I am the sponsor for Topper TV. This is an organization for students who have enrolled in Digital Video. These students are often called upon to work for the community to video projects.
