I teach at a Title One public charter school. I have 7 students who do not speak English as their home language, I have 17 students who are black. my students come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic classes. My class functions like a family, we grow and learn together. We rely on each other strive to support and encourage one another.
Needs:
My class is in desperate need of technology. There is no technology in my classroom. My students don't even have a listening center and when they have computer time most of the time they are using my own personal laptop.
My Philosophy:
In Miss. McCarty's Class we engage in cooperative learning experiences to enrich and mold the minds of each student. Each and every student in our class has a role. We are all problem solvers, classroom helpers, peace keepers and role models.
