Why Do I Teach?:
The most important lesson that one of my teachers instilled in me is that every student can succeed. I hope to help my students find a passion that will inspire them to learn. For a variety of reasons some children do not look forward to coming to school. I want all of my students to find at least one thing that they enjoy to help them feel excited and self-fulfilled about going to school each day. As a teacher, I share with my students how being a life-long learner has benefited me. They will hopefully realize that I am still learning, even from them. I hope each student will walk away from my classroom with life-long tools. To ensure this, my teaching will integrate subject matter, which will be applicable throughout their lives. My hope is that the students learn information and skills they can put into practice for many years to come. In my classroom, I want children to foster an understanding that respect, caring, and attitude are equally as important as academics. My hope is that my classroom is a safe environment where children can be themselves, each with their unique traits.
