Class Description:
I see almost all of our students. I teach daily 6th and 7th grade math, computer skills to preK through 6th grade, computer science to 7th and 8th grade, as well as the gifted pull-out class. I also coach the First Lego League Junior robotics team and the academic team, and I co-sponsor the robotics club and National Junior Honor Society.
Position:
Teacher - Computer/Math/Gifted
Needs:
Chromebooks to replace obsolete and bulky desktops, and provide more and more-flexible workspaces for students, so they can use computer lab for more project-based and collaborative team learning.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn at deeper levels than we expect. Hands-on learning lasts a lifetime!

I call myself a utility infielder of teaching - I teach a little of everything and enjoy it all immensely!
College and Degrees:
B.Sc. Excelsior; M.A. candidate in Mathematics at Western Governor's University (target graduation 2019).
Activities:
Acting with the local amateur theater group.

Pride and Prejudice, anything by Terry Pratchett!

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because knowledge is power. I know that every child can learn, and every child can be passionate about learning. There's nothing better than seeing students excited about learning and creating new things!
