I teach a variety of classes, but primarily I am teaching a Young Adult Literature course for sophomores and Issues in Modern Literature for seniors.

We would like a classroom set of microphones in order to be able to use photostory to create photo essays.
My Philosophy:
It is my mission as an educator to show students the joy of reading and to foster in them a life-long love of literature. It is my responsibility to assist them explore issues to try to make sense of them in realtion to self: to grow, to form opinions, to question the status quo, to find truth.

College and Degrees:
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls in 1997. I received my Master's Degree from Saint Mary's University in 2001. In 2005 I earned a Book Arts Certificate from Hamline University.

Employment History:
I taught and Chisago Lakes High school for three years, and then moved to Hudson where I have currently taught for the past nine years.

I teach because I love learning; there is nothing better than hearing a student say," I used to hate reading, but now I love it."
