My Philosophy:
I want to expose my students to the world, have them document and then relfect upon it. I want to help my students become better thinkers and global citizens.
Personal Information:
About Me:
I was born and raised in Thousand Oaks. I have taught 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 3rd grade. I have a son and a daughter that are fourree. I love to travel (although not so much of that over the past four years),garden, read, etc. I really love to study cognitive nueroscience and brain based teaching.
College and Degrees:
The regular teacher credentials, CLAD, etc. Masters in Multicultural Education
Activities:
Hmm.....really all of my "free time" is devoted to my job or my family.
Favorite Books:
I love reading anything by Jodi Piccolt. Most of the time I read for my students so I enjoy Eoin Colfer and Darren Shan. I'm really into reading about brain research and applying how it translates to the classroom.
