Class Description:
Small ESE self contained students. Students have learning difficulties that range from being ADD to being Autistic.
Position:
Reading Teacher
Needs:
Motivational activities to keep students challenged. Many students who reach the 6th grade unable to read or have trouble reading give up! They are in remediation classes and are not allowed to have electives! I would like to incorporate cameras and video into my reading class!
My Philosophy:
To be able to read is a gift and every should have that gift! No child should ever have to settle for second best no matter what their economic status or class is.

Why Do I Teach?:
I teach because I love it ! I love working with students who have diffiuclt challenges ahead of them ! I love to see their faces when thay actually get it or that light bulb comes on so to speak! I love for them to see what reading can do for them ! I try to show my students that there is big world out there and not to settle for anything but the best if can offer!
