Classes range in size from 16 students to a class of 30. I teach every child in the school.
Position:
Music Teacher
Needs:
I need to update my room with technology in order to meet the needs of my students in today's world. Students come to school with a vast knowledge of technology and are more visual learners than ever before. I need a SmartBoard, projector, and music software.
My Philosophy:
I believe every child has the ability to learn how to read music and make music. I strive to instill my love of music in the students that I teach. Students learn much better and are more attentive when learning through the use of technology. Technology happens to be my second love and I enjoy helping the students learn how to create music via computers as well as instruments and vocally.

Why Do I Teach?:
My love for music helped me decide that I wanted to teach music to children about music. I had always played "teacher" as a child and knew that I would one day love to become one. As a senior in high school, I had the opportunity to intern with an elementary music teacher in my school system. I fell in love withteaching children about music. Music has always been a huge part of my life from the time I was six years old to present.
I enjoy sharing my love of music with children in hopes that they too will begin to understand music, be able to read it and have an appreciation for the arts.
