Class Description:
7th and 8th grade art classes. Bethune Middle School is an inner-city school located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The school population is comprised of 99% African American students. 100% of students qualify for free or reduced-fee lunch.
Position:
Art Teacher
Needs:
Technology is needed in the art classroom. Digital cameras, graphic design software, computers, printers, scanners, digital projector, etc.
My Philosophy:
I teach art as a foundation for communication and understanding. In my classroom, we discover cultures from around the world and learn how we are different or similar to them. We learn about educational and occupational opportunities in the arts field. Most importantly, I encourage students to explore the meaning of art.

Bachelor of FIne Arts concentration in graphic design, minor in photography from Northwestern State University. Currentlyattending Louisiana Tech University for a Masters of Arts in Teaching/ K-12 art education
