Class Description:
I teach in an amazing school with a wonderfully diverse population of middle school students. Our school is in an urban environment. Our school has some wonderful programs to provide a balanced education for our students.

Needs:
We have 52% our our students are below the poverty level. Our library has a small budget but it does not meet the needs of a dynamic school with great readers and too small of a budget.
My Philosophy:
To promote life-long learning by the students, The library will provide leadership and support for the development, promotion, and improvement ofliteracy and the life long enjoyment of the ability to read.

BA from Purdue University. MS from Eastern Illinois University
Activities:
Avid reader in the winter and avid walker in the summer. Often found in church activities, eating pizza or watching TV, if not at work.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin; Pirates by Celia Rees; Natural Wonders of the World; Travel Guides, Cook Books.

I love books and want to encourage others to read and be inspired by the great thoughts of the past.
