In my classroom I teach all the core subjects. For science we switch classrooms so that each teacher teaches an area of preference. My love is rocks and minerals. I teach this to four third grade classrooms. My creativity is brought out by my awesome students. For example, this Halloween I was Shel Silverstein. The class was truly inspired by the book which inspired me to shave my head, and grow a beard for the first time ever! I then drew the cover of Where the Sidewalk Ends on the front and back of a tee-shirt.
Position:
Third Grade Teacher
Needs:
In order to make the lessons I teach in my room come alive, the classroom desperately needs current technology. We only have one outdated camera. I would truly appreciate anything anyone could do to help us out. I am a teacher who teaches my students to go above and beyond and technology in our classroom would assist in accomplishing this.
