Class Description:
My classroom mirrors the surrounding community in the diverse background it presents. I have students from various countries and ethnicities. I have students from secure, two-parent households. I have students from one parent, divorced households as well. I have students who live in 1 bedroom apartments. I have students who live in 5 bedroom houses. I have students all between.
Position:
Classroom Teacher
Needs:
As a younger teacher who grew up in the information age, I see the necessity of technology in aiding and effectively help to reach the current generation of students. When technology is utilized appropriately and effectively, great results occur, not only from an engagement perspective, but also from an academic perspective.
My Philosophy:
Every child can learn no matter the circumstances. A great teacher can always find a way.
Personal Information:
Why Do I Teach?:
Teaching is more than just a career, it's a calling. I don't teach simply so that students can learn various subject matter. I don't teach for the money or the long hours and weekends spent working on my craft. I teach because I love being around kids all day. I teach because I want to open the eyes of my students to a world of wonder outside our classroom door. I teach so that my students will be critical thinkers, help those in need, and ultimately become positive and effective leaders of the next generation.
