Position:
teacher
Needs:
Research has shown that girls are typcially not as comfortable with technology as boys. In addition, many of the advanced technological jobs in our country are held by men. With these items, I hope to help build the confidence of the girls in my class when working with technology and foster a desire to continue to pursue technological fields as they get older. Finally, these materials will create engaging expreiences in my classroom that will keep the attention of all learners and foster the retention of learned information.
My Philosophy:
As a teacher, it is my duty to help students become well rounded individuals who are prepared to enter the world as productive citizens. In a high paced world with the presence of technology everywhere I believe in using a multimodal teaching style to increase retention and comprehension of information. With the numerous ways technology can be incorporated in the classroom, it is not only possible for me to use a variety of instructional strategies, but help develop strong technological skills.
