I have 30 homeroom sudents that I teach Math and Language Arts. I teach an additional 30 students from the other 5th grade for the Whitehall City Schools. Whitehall is an urban setting within Columbus, Ohio boundaries. We have a very diverse population.
Position:
teacher
Needs:
I would like digital cameras and accessories to use with the students to explore math. For example, within geopmetry, we would photograph examples of parallel lines, right angles, perpendicular lines, skew lines and various other geometric figures.
My Philosophy:
I feel students learn best with hands on experiences in real life situations. With the new technologies available, bringing real life into the classroom is more than possible! New experiences and new realities can be an everyday learning adventure!
