Class Description:
CASMAN Academy is a public charter school located in Manistee, MI. Manistee is located on the shore of Lake Michigan on Michigan's northwest coast and surrounded by forest and farmland. At CASMAN, SEEDS coordinates after school and enrichment acitivities Monday through Thursday during the school year. Our programs include culinary club, robotics, guitar lessons, an open mic, and concerts. . . just to name a few. We have worked with the Mainstreet Manistee Downtown Development Authority, Manistee County Community Gardens, and many other community organizations to help manage the Manistee Farmers Market and establish the Sophia Street Community Garden.
Position:
21st Century Community Learning Center Site Coordinator
Needs:
Hardware for photography, video production and music recording and production classes. We work with local DJs, artists and sound engineers and need tools to help students gain practical experience with technology.
My Philosophy:
SEEDS is a nonprofit organization established to foster local solutions to global issues. We bring a holistic perspective, making connections between ecology and social justice.
